Be creative. Yes. You can be successful by being a cookie cutter image of what has already worked. But you will never change the world, unless you are a true original. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel in order to utilize creativity. More often than not, all it takes is a small sprinkle of imagination to take something from ordinary to outstanding. However, there is a such thing as being too creative. I am a firm believer in expressing oneself, but to what benefit is it when the creative expression flies miles over the friendly skies of comprehension? Just as in cooking a Sunday dinner or baking a birthday cake, the consumer can tell if you prepared your work of art or marketing plans with loving care, as opposed to doing it just to do it. Life is too short for mediocrity.
